EDUCATION FROM THE EXPERTS JumpStart offers free educational workshops on a wide variety of topics, from capital readiness and go-to-market strategy to financial projections and growth planning. In order to provide the most value to participants, our workshops are focused on specific types of businesses at specific stages of growth.
Sun, Mar 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM All are welcome to join this event to support students and companies participating in The Commons Akron Innovation Accelerator Pilot Program. This collaboration with Bounce, ConxusNEO, area universities, companies, business mentors and more aims to attract, develop and retain talented students.
From 2:00 - 4:00 PM, student teams will present their findings from innovation research with Akron Children's Hospital, FirstEnergy, Goodyear, Moen and others.
Twenty (20) aspiring young entrepreneurs will each receive $500!
The enrollment period for this year’s AFEUSA Student Award Program begins on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 and will end Thursday, April 30, 2020 or upon receipt of 150 qualifying applications, whichever occurs sooner.
The awards are scheduled to be distributed by Friday, May 29, 2020.
The ideal candidate is someone who has an interest in start-up businesses and would like to evaluate start-ups for potential investment. This person likely has had an interest in business plan competitions or similar type entrepreneurial events. In addition, this individual must be a strong communicator who is able to work autonomously to complete assigned tasks.
The intern will be expected to work out of the OIF offices in Columbus, OH as well as be able to drive to other locations across the state for external events. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
