For Kent State University student Anne Skoch, a junior fashion merchandising major, her post-graduation career has been in the works since age 13. Upon graduation, she will transition from full-time student to full-time entrepreneur as the owner of the online boutique Anne Cate.
Join us in the LaunchNET office as we watch "Generation Startup." GENERATION STARTUP captures the struggles and triumphs of six recent college graduates who put everything on the line to build startups in Detroit.
Through this program, students have participated in a tailored curriculum, and received mentoring from the most successful Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs), as well as from corporate representatives from some of America’s largest Fortune 500 companies.
Each Wednesday an entrepreneur will tell their story. Some of these entrepreneurs may be well seasoned, some may be just starting out. Hear how they did it…what they did right…what they might do differently…and what they might do next!
The Rice Business Plan Competition is the world’s richest and largest graduate-level student startup competition. It is hosted and organized by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, which is Rice University's internationally-recognized initiative devoted to the support of entrepreneurship, and the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business.
