LaunchNET News: FALLing into some great events!

Help high school students get innovative!
We need about 30 students, staff, and/or faculty members to help out with a STEM-focused entrepreneurship and innovation program aimed at high schoolers! 

The event takes place on Tuesday, October 29, and you will be needed from 10:45am - 1pm. [Even if you have class until 11, please sign up!]

You will be helping to facilitate a table of students working on an innovative solution. Lunch will be served and anyone who helps out will also receive a $25 Visa gift card!

On October 5th, you will:
• Learn how to deliver a winning pitch
• Develop an elevator pitch for your business idea
• Pitch to a panel of early stage investors

SkyHack Design Challenge
Are you ready for another SkyHack?  SkyHack is a weekend long event in which students will come together to provide a solution to a challenge or “pain point” relating to the aviation industry.

November 1-3, 2019
Open to students 18 years of age or older from any US college or university, in any area of study.

2nd Annual FlashLab Pitch Contest | Kent State Student Media
WHAT: A fun, competitive contest to develop innovative ideas in the areas of content development, revenue generation, audience engagement and collaboration. Winning ideas have the chance to receive funding to launch their ideas within Kent State Student Media.

WHEN: Contest opens Sept. 16th and closes Oct. 27th at 11:59 p.m., with final judging to be completed by Dec. 4, 2018

WHO: All currently enrolled Kent State University students are invited to pitch. Entrants do not have to be connected to a Student Media partner, though they are encouraged to collaborate as they see fit.

THINKBIG: Employment & Entrepreneurship at Kent State Stark 
THINKBIG is a day of county-wide community conversations. Organized by Stark Community Foundation and Strengthening Stark, the inaugural event is designed to give residents a voice and bring people together to brainstorm solutions to community needs while celebrating the good in Stark County.
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship located within the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University and the Asher Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) located in Lebanon, will jointly host the 2nd International Entrepreneurship Applied Research Symposium on October 24th and 25th, 2019 on the Cleveland State University Campus.  The theme of the symposium is: Building the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Changing Times: Technology, Education and Globalization.

October 21–23, 2019
Students, developers, designers, investors, engineers, researchers, and community members will have the opportunity to participate in this high-energy, all-night problem solving session to help solve some of healthcare’s most pressing issues.
The BBB Spark Award recognizes entrepreneurs age 35 and younger whose new business is less than three years old who demonstrate a high level of character, generate a culture that is authentic about its mission and embed social impact into their business model to support their community.
Ventures who apply to SheEO are majority women-owned, women-led, revenue-generating (at least $50K up to ~$2M in revenue at the time of application)  with export potential and able to answer how they are creating a better world.
For undergraduate or graduate college/university students with a company: operating for at least 6 months with at least $500 in generated revenue.
