Are you ready for another SkyHack? SkyHack is a weekend long event in which students will come together to provide a solution to a challenge or “pain point” relating to the aviation industry.
November 1-3, 2019 Open to students 18 years of age or older from any US college or university, in any area of study.
We need about 30 students, staff, and/or faculty members to help out with a STEM-focused entrepreneurship and innovation program aimed at high schoolers!
The event takes place on Tuesday, October 29, and you will be needed from 10:45am - 1pm. You will be helping to facilitate a table of students working on an innovative solution. Lunch will be served and anyone who helps out will also receive a $25 Visa gift card!
WHAT: A fun, competitive contest to develop innovative ideas in the areas of content development, revenue generation, audience engagement and collaboration. Winning ideas have the chance to receive funding to launch their ideas within Kent State Student Media.
WHEN: Contest opens Sept. 16th and closes Oct. 27th at 11:59 p.m., with final judging to be completed by Dec. 4, 2018
WHO: All currently enrolled Kent State University students are invited to pitch. Entrants do not have to be connected to a Student Media partner, though they are encouraged to collaborate as they see fit.
Blockland Student Coding Workshop Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Cleveland State University This full day workshop is for high school juniors & seniors and college students to focus on foundational concepts and code reviews. Basic prior coding experience is suggested, but not required.

Ventures who apply to SheEO are majority women-owned, women-led, revenue-generating (at least $50K up to ~$2M in revenue at the time of application) with export potential and able to answer how they are creating a better world.
For undergraduate or graduate college/university students with a company: operating for at least 6 months with at least $500 in generated revenue. Local & National winners!
