Student teams from NEO colleges & universities will work with Goodyear, Akron Children’s Hospital, The J.M. Smucker Company, First Energy, and 2 or 3 other companies this fall.

The Commons Akron program is open to ALL students from ALL backgrounds and is even an option for recent graduates – as it takes place on weekends and teamwork is conducted virtually with the support of program leaders and business mentors.

Organizations seeking to make it easier for people to get to work will receive a total of $191,000 to bring their ideas to fruition in the prize program, which was created by the Fund for Our Economic Future to come up with solutions to what the Fund calls the transportation paradox of 'no car, no job; no job, no car.'

The E-Team Grant Program provides peer networking, expert coaching, national recognition, and hands-on workshops to move your innovation forward. 

Other Competitions
The Lemelson-MIT Student Prize honors promising collegiate inventors around the country. The Student Prize is open to teams of undergraduate students and individual graduate students who have technology-based inventions.
